ABOUT OUR NAMESAKE - “Herb”
We are often asked “who is Herb?” Well, interestingly enough, there is no Herb by formal name associated with the best coffee concept in Dallas! Herb’s House Coffee + Company is actually a woman-owned, family business that is part of The Stainback Organization. However, the Stainback family has referenced the name “Herb” for many years as a nickname established for Kent Stainback (founder of The Stainback Organization) by a college buddy… and over the years - it stuck! So, when deciding what to name their community investment, the Stainback’s thought it appropriate to honor Kent by suggesting the nickname “Herb.”
OUR PRIVATE LABEL SPECIALTY COFFEE
Beginning in the fall of 2021, Herb’s began serving our own private label specialty coffee poured in our store, on location with The Herbster and packaged for purchase. Our coffee is 100% Arabica, specialty beans imported from coffee-producing countries around the world. Our team works hard to select the roast profiles that achieve the best quality taste possible.
House Blend - Herb’s House Blend is a 50/50 blend of beans from farms in Colombia and Brazil. This medium roast coffee has tasting notes of chocolate, nutty and mellow.
Signature Blend - Herb’s House Blend is a 50/50 blend of beans from farms in Colombia and Brazil. This dark roast coffee has tasting notes of floral, wine and bright. We use Signature Blend for our espresso-based beverages in our store location.
Decaf Blend - Herb’s Decaf coffee is a single origin coffee sourced from a farm in the Risaralda region of Colombia. The tasting notes are sweet, fruity, and mellow.
Cerrado - A single origin dark roast sustainably sourced from a coffee farm in the Cerrado region of Brazil. Tasting notes of bold, nutty, and mellow.
Sunrise - A single origin light-medium roast sourced from a coffee farm in the Medellín region of Colombia. Tasting notes of wine, floral, and sweet.
